Overclocking the Hard Disk, specifically Windows Partition!

Making Windows run Faster on an Old Fashion Mechanically Spinning Hard DISK(SATA,IDE type) can be accomplished by Overclocking the Hard Disk specifically in Windows Partition only!

Microsoft Windows NT based is normally installed on NTFS partition with a default cluster size of 4K(4096 bytes) the good side of it is that it simply doesn't get too full too fast, but the weaker side of it is that it becomes too slow and fragmented in a very small amount of time!

Too small not just because its running on a small cluster size (4k) partition but because it even compresses files smaller then they are when you don't access them frequently and then when you want to access them for the first time in a long time sometimes they become corrupted, broken, inaccessible, fragmented and unrecoverable!

Overclocking the Hard Disk, Specifically Windows Partition can be very logical and easily applied! As I have shown in One of my YouTube Videos how to install Windows on High Cluster Size Partition even though I have shown how to install it in a 64K cluster size for the sake that its possible, I would Only install it and run it in the range between 8k-16k cluster size partition simply to have less fragmentation on the hard disk and faster processing of files and data and also because many software programs designed for windows wouldn't be compatible on such a high cluster size as 64k!

Of course using higher then default cluster size partition would force the computer to write more data at higher block size at faster rate to the hard disk so I wouldn't install windows in higher then 8K(8192bytes) cluster size, its more then enough to feel performance difference even in the worst browser Internet Explorer!

When you are backing up data to an external hard disk its OK to to use the highest cluster size for a backup partition but when you are trying to run a Windows Operating System it has to consistently deal with Windows C:\ drive while its running so don't push the button if you want to use the hard disk longer (8K cluster size) should be more then enough to experience and feel a tremendous difference!

If you are wild like me and you want to experiment higher then 8193 bytes cluster size C:\ drive partition then your hard disk better be at least 7,200 RPM not 5,600 RPM!

How to make your Old computer run like New!

You probably have a 5-8 year old computer and its getting older and slower and you are probably thinking of getting a new computer but money is a bit tide right now for a big purchase!

You have possibly upgraded your RAM before and it still doesn't seems to show you any sign of progress.

Maybe even worse and you have upgraded to Over 4GB Memory and realized that you cant really enjoy the benefits out of it because your system can only support 32bit operating system not 64bit and it cant read or use over 3GB memory.

You have installed CCleaner to keep it always clean from junk, bad cookies and web history etc.., you have installed Malwarebytes to keep it secure from most malware, spyware, adware, and/or viruses, you have scheduled Disk Defragmenter to keep the hard disk maintained even after you recently purchased a new hard disk to replace your old one! You've also used CCLeaner or MSCONFIG to disable useless start-up programs that take too much of your RAM on the Computer that slows it down a lot!

You have taken every step and precaution possible to keep it running like new and in matter of months if not weeks its supper slow all over again!

WHAT GIVES?

Technology is so fast today that unless most of your computer components are up to date nothing will keep up!

Have you ever asked yourself a question such as..?Why is my smartphone faster then my computer? My computer has a better advanced processor, more memory, larger hard disk space but you can check your email, play a video on YouTube and make a phone call by the time your laptop or desktop computer fully boots!

Most Computers even with the latest processors and computer components still continue to come with old fashioned mechanical spinning hard disks. This Old Fashioned Hard Disks(HDD) Have Made a lot of History over the Years since the computing revolution began but their time has come where they are slower then the tasks required to do what you need on a regular basis.

You Need to replace your old technology HDD(Hard Disk) with the latest SSD(Solid State Drive)! If your Old Computer supports SATA type of Hard Disk then you are in luck to try a Solid State Disk on your computer today. Solid State Disks have actually been around for quite some time but only recently began to be more affordable then ever before. Less then 2 Years Ago an SSD Drive with a size of 128GB-256GB would cost from $500 to $1000 that's practically more then a whole new computer alone that's why the manufacturers have never begun to include them in their computers when they build them! But Today you can get a 256GB-512GB between $150 to $250 US dollars!

Look around at different electronic stores to where you live, compare their prices and decide to get one that you can most afford and make your old computer run like never before. Make it Even Faster then When it was Brand New since your computer never came with SSD even in day one of is existence before it was used and turned on for the first time!

In case you are wondering why I used smartphone as an example earlier its because they are computers that are super fast because they are computers that don't depend on old fashioned mechanical spinning hard disks, other wise how can people rotate their phones on a table when they are bored, or play games rotating and tapping their phones and tablets with their hands and fingers left, right and center, you cant do that with a mechanically Old Fashioned Spinning Hard Disk. All phones would crash daily on regular basis and will need to be changed hourly not daily which is obviously unrealistically foolish to even consider!

HDD is the PAST, SSD is the PRESENT

How to Make your Internet Experience Faster with CCleaner !

Learning how to make your computer running Microsoft Windows OS faster with CCLeaner is very beneficial, important and easy!

Many people that have downloaded CCleaner don't seem to take the full advantage of it yet! For example most users would use it only manually instead of setting it up to run automatically during Windows Boot/Login.

Many users haven't yet discovered that they can even control how many programs load during windows boot. When people install many programs on their computer they also don't realize that a large percentage of those programs become startups that take a large percentage of your Randomly Accessed Memory(RAM, Memory) that slow down the computer!

You can control and/or reduce the list of Startup Programs to prevent too much memory usage. You can repair registry errors that could improve System Stability.

One of my Favorite things of the CCleaner program is that you can even customize it at what level it should clean the disk at!

I chose Secure Deletion with Very Complex Overwrite (35 Passes)! What this means is that when it deletes the temporary unimportant files from the computer even an advanced tool the can recover deleted files like RECUVA couldn't recover it!

There is a very strong advantage to that because I have noticed a tremendous speed increase in web browsing experience using this settings.

The Reason why the internet loads faster with this settings is because when it cleans the previous web history, cookies and etc.. with 35 passes it's almost like you have formatted this particular portion of the hard disk 35 times and every website and video that I visit loads super-fast as if it is already stored on the computer!

In this Video Below I am going to show you how I would recommend setting up and using CCleaner, but some users might not like it because this settings could impact remembering your website logins to various websites, and you might always have to manually log in!

But there is an advantage to that too..! It helps keep your mind sharp by memorizing all your various logins to various websites and it keeps you and your computer more secure!

And Last but not Least most of the things that I've mentioned above could be setup to run automatically at every login on Windows automatically!

Instructions

This instructions apply after you've installed CCleaner

1. Open CCLeaner

2. Click Analyze to see how much space there is available to clean up from the hard disk!

3. Click Run Cleaner (if you still have any web browser open CCleaner will ask if you want it to close the browser for you to delete the history of this web browser as well) I recommend you press Yes. Also select the the checkbox to not show you this message again.

CCleaner will also warn you that it will permanently delete this files from the system so press Yes to agree and one more time another check box not to show you this new message as well again and press OK.

4. Then go to Options Tab after you have cleaned the computer for the first time with CCleaner then select Settings then check mark Run CCleaner when the computer starts.

5. Under Secure Deletion select "Secure File Deletion (slower)" then right under it select "Very Complex Overwrite (35 Passes)" Please Note that it says "slower" but its slow really only the first time unless your hard disk has been overused over the years!

6. Then Click "Advanced" Tab select "Close Program after Cleaning"

7. Then Select "Cleaner" then press "Analyze"

8. After you press Analyze it should show you that there isnt too much space to clean anymore after you've already cleaned it successfully for the first time from step 3 if you've followed it

9. Press "Run Cleaner" because this will be the first time using it with the new settings you just made and CCleaner should close automatically. This could take some time to clean up several megabytes or gigabytes for the first time so please be patient if you skipped step 3

10. After all the Cleanup is done the CCLeaner should have closed automatically and you should now restart the computer and see if it loads automatically at the bottom right corner at start up as it should to clean the hard disk from unimportant files at every boot time from now on!

exFAT File System for ReadyBoost in Windows 7

ReadyBoost for Windows 7 could prevent computer problems such as slowing down on old computers!

Did you recently upgrade your old computer to Windows 7? Does it seem to run slower then you hoped?

Since your computer is a bit old it could be using an old type of ram! And just because its old it doesn't mean its cheap! As a matter of fact its probably expensive to buy old ram since its a bit outdated and hard to find!

Why not use ReadyBoost for Windows 7 to Speed up your Computer using a blank USB(flash cards)! You can ReadyBoost Windows 7 by formatting an empty USB flash disk and then you right click on the drive go into properties and select ReadyBoost tab and you decider how much space you want to use to help performance

Using ReadyBoost is a great idea because its a very fast, and easy task!

This task literally designed for USB(flash cards) drives so there is no reason not to use it! Doing this will feel like you just upgraded the memory of your computer without opening the computer case and adding more ram!

But you know what else I recommend, using the exFAT file system when you format your USB flash cause its extremely fast and stable compare to FAT, FAT16, FAT32 and/or NTFS file systems!

How to Defragment your Hard Disk using Command Prompt

Schedule Disk Defragmentation to Optimize and Maintain pc/laptop performance!

You should Schedule Disk Defragmentation on your computer using Disk Defragmenter to work daily instead of weekly if you would like to optimize and maintain your PC/Laptop performance using Windows on HDD.

You can prevent your computer from freezing, slowing down, and/or crashing in long term!

The Problem with Disk Defragmenter being scheduled to defragment your hard disk weekly by default is that most of the time it skips it almost every week for many months to come!

That's why the computer's performance and the hard disk's health status is almost never maintained, but when its scheduled to defragment daily it will defrag your hard disk at least twice a week during normal computer use, and the best part is that it will be unnoticeable when its doing it.

That way your files will stay in the right place on your hard drive instead of spreading around from one end of the hard drive to other or being broken down into dozens of pieces like a puzzle(one part of a file at one end, one part of the same file at the other end of the hard disk)!

This will basically prevent fragmentation, file loss, blue screen crashes due to hard to read and process data and etc...

And then every time you try to do a simple task such as downloading a file you wouldn't have to wonder around why it takes forever, why your computer all of a sudden begins to make loud noises until loads up or even why it gets stuck at 99.9% when you are downloading a file at very fast speed and etc...!

When you schedule to defrag your computer to lets say 1:00AM, it doesn't mean that you have to keep the computer up till 1:00AM to defrag!

What it really means is that when you turn the computer ON during normal time of the day it will realize that it didn't defrag your computer yet during the day so it will defrag automatically during the day when you are not doing too much on your computer(check email, play videos, chat ant etc...)!
